vezza is a loner |
hi, hello, welcome. I don't post interesting, thoughtful photographs or sweet things which have made me laugh. You might as well know now, you're here to read. |
Decline and Fall, Evelyn Waugh.
Nana, Emile Zola
Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy
Books on my shelf that I’d like to read properly once and for all before the films come out
Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy
The Great Gatsby, F Scott Fitzgerald
On The Road, Jack Kerouac
Books I’d love to re-read before the film comes out
Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte
Books I wish I’d never read but will be happy to see the film, I guess
The Devils Double, Latif Yahia
One Day, David Nicholls
Books I’ve read recently which were unexpectedly dramatised on the bbc, giving rise to a mild interest in the 2 sequels
Case Histories, Kate Atkinson
And this is someone who is averse to critical discussions of “adaptation”.
I think when it really comes down to it, I mean if I really had ta had ta choose, I’d say I was more a book person than a film person. I wish I read more. There, I said it.
Now, where’s my rabbit-nibbled Nana? Gotta love Zola but I can’t say I’m not intruiged to see the Martine Carol film!
